Flash Upgrade Question about my Thompson Speedtouch 530
It appears to support DSL origional specifications. Is there someone somewhere who knows about these to assist me to upgrade the firmware to accept ultra DSL speeds? (vdsl) Thompson never released a firmware upgrade of any sort for this device that I could find. I'd like to assume it can be done bec...

idea
It's a pity there are no published records of custom CMOS and other resource usage though. I grasp it OEMs can, in theory, customise their machines BIOSes but I doubt most do so more than strictly necessary, and then do it other than choosing from a set of prebuilt options by the BIOS creators. Am ...

thankyou so much
This mobo is awesome im running xpsp2 with 640mb sdram.
The processor runs smoothly however it is hot so i managed to put a intel pga375 cpu cooler on it to keep her cool.
Its still running; job was done 1 week after you guys replied.
I'm sure some people would find the AMD-INTEL combo amusing

HARDWARE solution
You can set up a power socket switch that will turn on or off the hardware via phone.
You can set a modem to wake up your computer from standby.
Perhaps a remote session can turn it off?

Hiyas I want to replace the tacky IBM boot logo off this systems BIOS.
I need to know the right utility to rip the bios; repack it with the latest vga rom for the built in graphics (same id) and to put a more glorious boot logo in (full screen)]
TY

Yes it can
You can repack your system Bios with vga bios roms. I have done so with many vga cards; just do it on a 1 to 1 basis or you'll overcrowd the bios. This is probably the lowest form of compatability your computer can have abart from drivers. When you pack a vga card bios into your system bios; you mus...
