There is a working solution for 127 error and L2 initializatin in Windows and Linux. There is a working solution to SpeedStep.
The only thing that has not been solved is that after suspend/resume (Fn-F4) you have to set L2 on manually. For me this is not worth risking a dead motherboard associated with testing the modded bios.
So those guys whos ask someone else to do the job of bios modding should at least volunteer their 600E to be used for testing the modded bios.
Anyone volunteering?
8)totaly agree with you sharedoc about risk taking, I HAVE 2 TP 600 MOBOS that i am willing to experiment beta bios on ,basically the bioses are similar if someone with the skill is willing to mod the tp600 non e bios ,then i will give it a go +chances are if it works ok on a tp600 then i can't see why the p111 modded 600e bios won't work too, considering bios bin files +flash procedures are similar, once i see the beta bios hasn't corrupted on the 600 then i am willling to try on my 600e also, unless i know exactly where the 600e bios is on the mobo, cause i got a spare good bios on another pin damaged 600e mobo i can swap the chip over (incase of failiure)+solder my spare bios on the good mobo.
*sharedoc do you mean that if i only change the crystal, the pci bus increases proportianly with the fsb%?(ie-10%+crystal =10%+@36mghz pci speed?because i want to increase the pci bus mainly ,not so much for cpu speed. *smb bus? did i miss a feature of softfsb?cause theres no support for my pll w258 cypress ,so i saw?
