i need to reflash a dead pcchips m800lmr with the hot-swap (or whatever its name is) method. i already did it before, so i just need some data:
1. voltage of the 'atmel 49f002nt' flash rom to be able to flash it
2. can i use a m560tg motherboard to reflash the bios using the hotswap method (i don't have another m800, and this m560tg is only board i can risk to ruin if something goes wrong)
3. where can i get the rom file? (it cannot be found in pcchips' website, and ajz's site is down)
4. should i use amiflash or uniflash?

thanx in advance

Atmel AT49F002NT is a 2Mbit 5V-only flash chip.

Uniflash should do the work but it may be possible the M560 is not capable of rewriting a 2MBit Bios as it only uses 1MBit Bios

If you do the Hot-Swap (or Hotflash) in the correct way then this should be no problem
If you use the amiflash prog Aminf3xx please use the comand option that disables automatic reboot and automatic Clear CMOS after successful flash operation

the results couldn't be better: the bios chip was dead, so i couldn't reflash it... so i bought a new empty chip, flashed it and solved the problem...

thanx for all the tips,
